The Mystery of the Broken Bread

Today we are going to be talking about the mystery of the broken bread.
John 12: 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
There is a reason why Christ broke the bread at the last supper before He gave it to the disciples to eat (remember the Communion we are to do in church today). Yeah, there is a reason for the breaking of the bread; matt 26:28 says "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body".
Let's go to the feeding of the five thousand for illumination on what it means.
Matt 14: 15And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.16But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. 17And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. 18He said, Bring them hither to me. 19And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full."
You see Christ told us , except a corn of wheat falls to the ground and dies (is broken), it abides alone (it won't be good for anything). However, if it dies, it bears much fruit.
Except you are broken (give your will totally in exchange for God's will) , you won't be able to affect as much lives as Christ intends you to affect. You see just 5 loaves feeding 5,000 hungry people. Well, that's you.
When you offer yourself to Christ to be used by Him as a vessel to feed the multitudes (to bring His light and love to your world), you are like that bread that is offered to Him. Look at what Christ did with it:
First He took it
Then looking up to heaven (His focus was no longer on you or your ability), He blessed it
Then He broke it
And gave it to the disciples to give to the hungry multitude.
God sees that the people who have come to Him are hungry; for His word, For His love, for Knowledge about Him, for physical food, for care. And while you're saying , let them go to the town and get food (pushing the burden to others; or preferring solutions outside of yourself ). He's saying to you,"You, feed them". "What do you have".
You might not have enough. You might not know so much. Like the widow of Zarephath, it might be your last meal. He's saying to you. What do you have. Give it me. It may be that low paying Job barely enough to feed your family. Use it for my will; give from it to the needy. Give it to me. Let me bless it and break it so that it can be multiplied and go round to as many people who may need it. Then you'll have an overflow. That's the mystery of seed sowing.
Give it to Him (whatever you have; be it your life, your skill or talent, your possession), and watch Him work wonders through you and in you
