Why Praise?



Hello once again. Hope you're having a good day.

I'll be telling us today about a preaching I heard from someone. I heard it and I want you to hear it too!

It was on provoking the wonders of praise but I'll call it, "why praise ?".

Why do we need to praise. Is praise just all about singing and dancing. Why do we need to praise?

The mystery of divine presence is the root reason why we praise.

Divine Presence is the ability to have God with you 24 hours.

You see God does not manifest everywhere. I know  we say God is everywhere but what we are actually saying is:

Prov. 15: 3 "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Watching the evil and the good [in all their endeavors]."

Jer 16:17 "For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their wickedness concealed from My eyes."

2 Chron 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you will have wars.”

So God has installed a CCTV in every part of the earth; His eyes, so that He can view what is happening in every place at every point in time. However to make God to be constantly present with you in person is what you need.

The Presence of God is all you need.

The presence of God is what you should covet.

Divine presence is what breaks the yoke. It is what makes your christian life easy.

It is what makes the mountains (your difficulties) skip like rams.

    Psalm 114:2 "Judah(praise) was his sanctuary, And Israel his dominion. 3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.4The mountains skipped like rams,And the little hills like lambs.

    5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest?Thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams;And ye little hills, like lambs?7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord,At the presence of the God of Jacob;"

God's work causes people to wonder. He cannot do a small thing. Where he dwells there is wonder.

Job 9:10 "Which doeth great things past finding out;Yea, and wonders without number."

Praise is an environment where God's Presence dwells.

Psalm 22:3 "But thou art holy,O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."

You want to carry God, then be a man of sincere praise.

To live a life of ceaseless praise, the  starting point is thanksgiving.

The journey of praise starts with thanksgiving.

You cannot be a true and ceaseless worshipper if you don't have a heart of thanksgiving.

What should I be thankful for you ask;  The things He has given you.

Psalm 150: 6 "Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD." - Breath

Psalm 3:5 "I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me."-you woke up

Psalm 103: 5 "Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's."- you have food and the things you need.

Start the journey of praise by thanking God for everything around you. It will spur up joy in you.

Thanksgiving must be in your heart before your praise can ascend to heaven

God is Able to do What He says He will do

It’s easy to get distracted. It’s easy to conclude that God is not working. So what do you do when you get to this point where it feels like you’re going nowhere? You take a deep breath, relax and tell God to take over. A ridiculous position for someone who is expecting some action, but until you’re still and realize and recognize that He is God, you will never get God to work in your life. God is able to do that which He says He will do. His ability does not change because the circumstances have changed or because the person you were hoping on has passed on. The prophet says in Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou (God) wilt keep him (you) in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee (Him): because he (you)  trusts in thee (Him). Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.” God tells us to put our trust in Him (that confidently relies on and believe in Him). Circumstances may change, people may fail you but God will not fail you.  God is perfect in all His way

Intimacy With The King

Hello, guys. So it’s been a while here. How are you? Hope you’re all good. Today I’m going to be talking about ‘intimacy with the King' After salvation, God expects us to grow. I will tell you, you just got started if you just gave your life to Christ. There’s so much more to being saved than quoting a few good scriptures and going to church. God doesn’t want you to just come to him and end it there. He wants you to grow. He wants you to come to know Him. He wants you to come to be like Him. He wants to have an intimate relationship with you. (Deep calls unto deep; Psalm 42:7). God is the first Deep and He needs you to be deep too. Your salvation, great as it is, is not enough.  If it was, God would have taken you up immediately you gave your life to Him, but He didn’t. After your salvation, you need to grow. We Have a Better Covenant Than They

Heb 1: 13 KJV: “But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool?” After the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, He was raised up by God and made to sit at His Right Hand in heavenly places and while God was raising up Christ, He raised up everyone that would ever come to Him in Christ. So every prospective child of God was raised up in Christ upon His resurrection. So BEFORE you accepted Jesus you are already raised in Christ and you are seated in heavenly places. Let me explain the situation like this: If someone promises to give you money and the person drops the money with a friend for you, till you take possession of the money you can’t do anything with it. The fact that you have not collected the money does not mean it is not there. Fellowship

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together except they agree? Agreement is very important for any relationship to work. The place of fellowship is where spouses can learn about each other; their flaws, their likes, and dislikes and how best to relate to each other. In our relationship with Christ ( He is our groom and we are His bride Rev 21:9 ), fellowship is where divinity meets with humanity and we become more like Him. We can fellowship with God through His Word and Prayer.  When you are going through God’s Word, you might not immediately feel the effect of what you’re doing but if you CONSISTENTLY keep at it, one day you'll realize that you’re acting like Jesus. Remember always that in your Christian life you walk by Faith and not by Sight and you can only move God by your faith. So believe you’re getting something from your Word study even if you think you’re not, and consistently keep at it and you’ll soon realize that the Word is having an impact in your life.  Next is prayer. Unconditional Love

Jeremiah 31: 3 “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.” Sometimes we think that the love of God is one sided; that He loves us when we are good, but He doesn’t when we are not. So we try to buy God's love and forgiveness by our work. When we were growing up we were taught, sometimes not directly, that apostle Paul had to suffer all he did as a believer because of his former sins. We were taught that sin is like a wound, although it heals, there will always be a scar. Well that notion has been embedded into some of us, that it becomes difficult to accept God's unconditional love. We constantly live in self doubt even after salvation, asking questions like “how can God love someone like me, after this” or “there has to be some price I must pay to truly get his love (like what Jesus did was not enough)”.
