Intimacy With The King

Hello, guys. So it’s been a while here. How are you? Hope you’re all good.

Today I’m going to be talking about ‘intimacy with the King'

After salvation, God expects us to grow. I will tell you, you just got started if you just gave your life to Christ. There’s so much more to being saved than quoting a few good scriptures and going to church. God doesn’t want you to just come to him and end it there. He wants you to grow. He wants you to come to know Him. He wants you to come to be like Him. He wants to have an intimate relationship with you. (Deep calls unto deep; Psalm 42:7). God is the first Deep and He needs you to be deep too. Your salvation, great as it is, is not enough.  If it was, God would have taken you up immediately you gave your life to Him, but He didn’t.

After your salvation, you need to grow. This is where an intimate and personal relationship with God comes in. I think a lot of people have a general knowledge of God (like Current Affairs). They speak good Christian language, go to church, but there’s no deep intimate relationship with God. So when situations come to shake them up or test their faith they easily waver because they lack a true knowledge of God. God is multi-faceted; He’s Love; He’s the Lion of the Tribe of Judah; He’s also the Lamb; He’s Holy; He’s Righteous. Daniel tells us that it is only the true knowledge of God that will keep you strong in the day of trouble and enable you to do exploits. So even when everyone else is going astray, you’ll keep strong in God.(Dan 11:32)

You can only know God by coming to Him closely, day by day. So what are you waiting for to come to Him? The story of Elijah best illustrates this point:

He lay down and slept under the juniper tree, and behold, an Angel touched him and said to him, “Get up and eat.” He looked, and by his head, there was a bread cake baked on hot coal and a pitcher of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again. Then the angel of the LORD came again a second time and touched him and said, “Get up, and eat, for the journey is too long for you [without adequate sustenance].”  So he got up and ate and drank, AND WITH THE STRENGTH OF THAT FOOD HE TRAVELED FORTY DAYS AND NIGHTS TO HOREB (Sinai), the mountain of God. (I Kings 19: 5-8)

You need that food Elijah ate daily, it is what will keep your strong in the days of trouble. Eat as much Word and Prayer as you can today for the evil day (believe me they’ll come).

For every person, even much more for us as believers, there is a predestination for you a.k.a a prior destination God has set for you before the beginning of the world. That’s why He says

“BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN THE WOMB I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument],

And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I HAVE appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” While you were still a seed in eternity; a thought in God’s mind, God knew you. Only God knows why He made you, I don’t and I’m sure no matter how good your life is now, you don’t know either (if He has not told you). That’s why you need to come to Him to find out. He’s the only one that can reveal your true purpose on this earth. If you come earnestly to Him today, He promises to answer you. Just don’t give up asking (Remember the persistent widow; Luke 18:1-8)
