If You Abide in Me and I in You

I was staying at someone's house today and I wanted to pray. It was difficult to connect to God the way I desired to. So I just assumed that the person I was staying with was not a christian or a "fire-branding" christian because there was no atmosphere of worship already there.

-(If you enter into a place where someone prays, it won't be tough for you to connect to God because there is a presence of God there. That's why you experience goose pimples when you go to church, or a certain peace there. Your house or where you stay to continually worship God can be like that too).

However to my surprise, in the morning before I woke up, this person was already praying and studying her devotion. So I began to wonder, what then was wrong.

While I was studying later today, He showed me this scripture:

John 15: 4 "Abide in me, and I in you."

And he said it again

John 15: 5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

And again

John 15:7 "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

I became dumbfounded.

Abide in me + I in you = fruitfulness, productivity, dominion.

It's possible for you to be "in God" and he's not in you.

Remember you are the temple of the Lord. What are temples meant for? To worship in and to live in. So Christ is saying live in me as I live in you.

1 cor 3: 16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?". You're God's home here on earth.

But, the Holy Spirit cannot stay in every temple or every house. Why?

Hab 1: 13 "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:"

Eph 2: 21 "in whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues [to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]." God is holy.

In fact when you give your life to Christ, the first thing he does is to clean you, to make you more habitable for Him.

Matt 12: 44 "Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it arrives, it finds the place unoccupied, swept, and put in order".

God does not just want you to be in him. He wants to be in you too. Friends for life and thereafter.

Matt 7: 22 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Inasmuch as we want to be in God and work for God, let us also desire to live lives that will be suitable for Him to dwell in by obeying His word and living a holy life.

Let this be a longing of yours; To make your heart a sanctuary for Him. A place holy and acceptable to Him. A place where he can dwell in at all times.

You know that family or place you like visiting because you know you're always welcome anytime, any day? That's home to you. Well God wants you to be that home he can come to at anytime and any day and feel welcome and relaxed.

Why don't you be that home for Him?

Prayer: Dear Lord I want my body to be your temple. A place where you can be happy to live in at all times. Come and fill me Lord God. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

God is Able to do What He says He will do

It’s easy to get distracted. It’s easy to conclude that God is not working. So what do you do when you get to this point where it feels like you’re going nowhere? You take a deep breath, relax and tell God to take over. A ridiculous position for someone who is expecting some action, but until you’re still and realize and recognize that He is God, you will never get God to work in your life. God is able to do that which He says He will do. His ability does not change because the circumstances have changed or because the person you were hoping on has passed on. The prophet says in Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou (God) wilt keep him (you) in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee (Him): because he (you)  trusts in thee (Him). Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.” God tells us to put our trust in Him (that confidently relies on and believe in Him). Circumstances may change, people may fail you but God will not fail you.  God is perfect in all His way

Hello, guys. So it’s been a while here. How are you? Hope you’re all good. Today I’m going to be talking about ‘intimacy with the King' After salvation, God expects us to grow. I will tell you, you just got started if you just gave your life to Christ. There’s so much more to being saved than quoting a few good scriptures and going to church. God doesn’t want you to just come to him and end it there. He wants you to grow. He wants you to come to know Him. He wants you to come to be like Him. He wants to have an intimate relationship with you. (Deep calls unto deep; Psalm 42:7). God is the first Deep and He needs you to be deep too. Your salvation, great as it is, is not enough.  If it was, God would have taken you up immediately you gave your life to Him, but He didn’t. After your salvation, you need to grow. We Have a Better Covenant Than They

Heb 1: 13 KJV: “But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool?” After the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, He was raised up by God and made to sit at His Right Hand in heavenly places and while God was raising up Christ, He raised up everyone that would ever come to Him in Christ. So every prospective child of God was raised up in Christ upon His resurrection. So BEFORE you accepted Jesus you are already raised in Christ and you are seated in heavenly places. Let me explain the situation like this: If someone promises to give you money and the person drops the money with a friend for you, till you take possession of the money you can’t do anything with it. The fact that you have not collected the money does not mean it is not there. Fellowship

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together except they agree? Agreement is very important for any relationship to work. The place of fellowship is where spouses can learn about each other; their flaws, their likes, and dislikes and how best to relate to each other. In our relationship with Christ ( He is our groom and we are His bride Rev 21:9 ), fellowship is where divinity meets with humanity and we become more like Him. We can fellowship with God through His Word and Prayer.  When you are going through God’s Word, you might not immediately feel the effect of what you’re doing but if you CONSISTENTLY keep at it, one day you'll realize that you’re acting like Jesus. Remember always that in your Christian life you walk by Faith and not by Sight and you can only move God by your faith. So believe you’re getting something from your Word study even if you think you’re not, and consistently keep at it and you’ll soon realize that the Word is having an impact in your life.  Next is prayer. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR ‘HARASSING ME WITH LOVE'. So for a while now I have been worried about school life and how to balance it with my walk with God and my service to Him. I don’t want any to suffer and it SEEMS like in the course of life one would have to take pre-eminence. So I’m throwing this question to you; how do you balance church- life (service) and work-life? After school you’ll be saddled with various responsibilities like family, work, ministry and some other things, how do you make sure there’s balance? I know people who have gone to both sides of the extreme; putting all attention to one (maybe ministry) and totally neglecting the other (maybe family). Then I know people who seem to be making it work. So how do you create a balance or does God literally expect you to throw everything and follow Him? I believe if we have this balance even in the circular world a lot of families will be saved. A lot of marriages will be saved if a lot of husbands kept their wives
