Where Should I be?

Hello :)
Going through God’s Word I discovered something really interesting that I would love to share with you.
There was a famine in the land of Canaan and Isaac was looking for greener pastures for his livestock and The Lord appeared to him saying “Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of” Gen 26:2, KJV.
He had already moved from Canaan to the land of the Philistines and God knew his next point of call would be Egypt, so He appeared to him quickly and told him, no, you’re not going to that land. My Presence won’t go there with you. That’s not where I have prepared for you.
For Isaac this must have been very confusing. He was clearly in a fix and he needed a way out and here God was saying, that place you think is better, well it really isn't.
So why did God not want Isaac to go down to Egypt? Previously God had appeared to Isaac’s father, Abraham and had promised to give him and his descendants that land (Canaan) to possess and God could not do that if they were not in the land. That was the place God had assigned to them.
So what’s happening today? A lot of believers are not in the place God has assigned to them . Its really difficult when your source and your sustainer is in a different place waiting for you, and you're in another whiling away time. Gen 26: 3 “Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;” God was telling him, you won't get the fullness of me anywhere else.
When Moses told Pharaoh that the Children of Israel had to go to the wilderness to worship God ( Gen 5:3) , he was not lying. In Egypt they could not get the totality of God's presence to help them in all their difficulties because He was not there. You might say, but God is everywhere. True, but God may not work to His best ability everywhere. However, immediately they got out of Egypt, He took control over things.
When God has directed you to a place. No matter how difficult it may seem, don’t give up on it. The good thing about staying in your place of assignment (that purpose God has specifically designed for you from the beginning of time) is that God is there with you.
• So, find your land; your place of assignment God has kept for you; your purpose (not ambition)
• Stick with it
• And God will see you through
“Gen 26: 12Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. 13And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great”. It didn't take long to see the results of obedience.

Grace to you.
