Prayer

I remember singing as a child “prayer is the key. Prayer is the key. Prayer is the master key. Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer. Prayer is the master key”. Oh, how true. It can open and close any door if you know how to use it. Matt 16:19 "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

One of the greatest gifts God gave to us is the ability to speak. To air out our feelings when we are hurt. We can speak out. When we are angry, when we are in need of help, we can cry out to Him. Micah 6:1 says , ‘Hear now what the LORD is saying,
“Arise, plead your case before the mountains,
And let the hills [as witnesses] hear your voice.”

There’s the story of a little chick. One day a cat got into the poultry. It had never happened before.

There was commotion as the chicks were obviously frightened, but no one could tell what the tumult was all about. After a while the owner came out and saw a hen run out with fright from a particular area. That was when he discovered the cat.

God gave us a gift when he gave us the ability to speak. Let’s not keep quiet whenever a situation is going wrong. Talk to Him about it. Don’t be like the chick who could not communicate to its owner when it was in trouble and ended up almost dying.

We keep silent too long and let the enemy take control. Speak!

2 Chron. 7: 14 “if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Grace.
