I WILL WAIT ON THE LORD
Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting - Joyce Meyer |
When everything seems to be going wrong, know that you have one who is forever by your side; Watching over you, loving you and who seeks with all His heart that you will find rest.
From the little I’ve come to know about God, He will NEVER leave you, He will never forsake you. He’ll love you even as He gently takes you out of whatever situation you are in. Imagine an animal caught in a trap. If you yank it out of it, you will end up injuring it more and it may bleed to death. So what do you do? You gently take it out. You won’t waste more time than necessary because you see it is hurting. However you’ll take your time to take it out, so that no further damage will be caused. So don’t be in too much of a hurry. Allow God do His work while you patiently wait on him.
So what does it mean to wait on God? Does it mean that I don’t get to do anything? I just sit at home and wait? Job said “all the days of my appointed time will I wait on the Lord.” So what does it truly mean to wait on the LORD? To wait on the LORD is more of a state of heart than a state of action. I said “more of”, meaning that there has to be both; however one is brought into effect by the other. How do you know you have faith? By your action. How do you know you are waiting on the LORD? By your action; When God is not just a plan B or C. When He is the only option. When your heart is totally inclined to God and you come to completely trust in Him and what He has said He will do, then you know you’re waiting on the LORD.
Ask the Holy Ghost for help today to patiently wait on the LORD.
"For the vision is for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry; wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Hab. 2:3
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness." 2Pet 3:9
Selah.
